SALMON RIVER RESERVOIR Camping Trip, June, 2008.

Brian and Ken round the bend.

Go for it, Brian.

Dusk finds his GPS in 8' of water.

Smiles. Submerged 18 hours, allowed to dry out, it still worked fine.

Dusk makes himself useful.

Master Chefs, with Head Chef Deb at the helm.

All sated. Great food and lots of it.

The DEC campsite.

Sunset over the res.

Ken, Don, Tom, Brian and Deb.

Ken, Tom and Brian.

Dusk in a rare moment when he's not way out ahead of us.

More red boats than you can shake a fist at.

What's this man got up his sleeve?

Smile, Deb!

Ken in the Queen Mary, and yet he still smiles.

We think Mary's liking Ken's boat way too much!

It rained and rained and rained and then rained some more. Three inches of rain that weekend. The reservoir level raised 8" overnight, swamping one kayak and nearly setting adrift the others. We hadn't planned on tide when we tied up.

Very large black water snake resting in a tree. The tree was submerged, he'd slithered up there straight from the water.
